Backstage at our Photo Shoot…

Here at Gold Reserve Jewellers, we are working on a big campaign launching late this summer… and we wanted to give you a sneaky peak at the backstage action!

One of our brilliant customers, Deanne Jones from Cardiff has given us a brilliant testimonial on how she sold a lot of unwanted jewellery – gold, broken bits and bobs and ‘scraps’ that she had lying around the house! Deanne wanted to share her story, so we met up with her at The Celtic Manor in Newport, on a gloriously sunny afternoon this week, to find out all about her experience in the Cardiff Indoor Market store earlier this year!

All will be revealed soon when we launch the brand new campaign featuring Deanne! In the mean time – here’s some shots for you to have a look at until our new campaign launches.

Thought about selling your unwanted jewellery?
Why not pop in today and see our specialised sales advisors in the Swansea, Cardiff or Llanelli store? You might have a tiny amount of jewellery to get rid of or a lot! It really doesn’t matter. Even the tiniest amount of jewellery could be worth MUCH more than you think!
Simply pop in to one of our stores, bring some ID with you (drivers licence or utility bill etc) and find out in minutes how much you could be walking away with!
Its simple… if you don’t want it anymore, simply sell it!

The Big Gold Rush Roadshow

Gold Reserve Jewellers are giving YOU the chance to make some extra cash in your lunch hour while THEY donate to charity!

We’ve teamed up with 96.4FM The Wave and 1170 MW Swansea Sound to promote Wales favourite gold buyers all in the name of charity!
Between 11am and 1pm the team will be visiting

Tesco Fforestfach on Friday 27th

Then on Saturday 28th March – Gold Reserves (inside Swansea Market) all day there’ll be cupcakes, giveaways including Ospreys match day tickets, and lots more – as well as the profits taken going straight to Cash for Kids.

Simply bring us any unwanted jewellery – gold, silver or diamonds with you either day and we’ll be there to buy it from you.
Plus your helping charity as the profits made off your jewellery will be going straight to charity: The Cash for Kids Appeal in conjunction with Swansea Sound and The Wave radio station!

You really can make extra money in your lunch hour – while giving back to charity!

Lots of customers just don’t realize how much they could be getting for their unwanted items – the smallest amount could be worth much more than you think!

Peter Middleton owner of Gold Reserve Jewellers said of the ‘roadshow’:

“I am really looking forward to meeting a whole new group of people who might never have thought of selling their jewellery before! Summer is coming and we all need a little extra cash for what ever reason, so it’s very simple – bring in any unwanted jewellery to us and we’ll give you cash there on the spot!

Plus 10% of the profits we make as a company, goes straight to charity!”

The Gold Reserves team will be at Tesco Fforestfach Friday 27th between 11am and 1pm and also in store all day Saturday 28th inside Swansea Market!

Our Spring Time Giveaway….

Pots Of Gold For The Freya Bevan Fund

From Ospreys players and coaches supporting the fund to Katherine Jenkins wearing the Freya Bevan ‘bracelet’ at one of her recent gigs in England, it seems Freya has captured the heart of South Wales.

And now, local Swansea business, ‘Gold Reserves Jewellers’ are the latest to support and help the Freya Bevan Fund.

MD and owner of Gold Reserves Jewellers that has 3 stores in South Wales, Peter Middleton, wanted to help and support the fund to try and raise as much money for this little girl as possible.

Freya Bevan from Neath was diagnosed with a P.N.E.T Brain Tumour in May of last year. She has gone through two life-threatening operations and had countless cycles of Chemotherapy.

Even though she is so young Freya has fought her illness with tremendous courage and despite at times, being in horrendous pain she continues to amaze those around her with her determination.

In the last few days its been released that children’s charity ‘Kids N cancer’ confirmed Freya had been approved treatment by Dr Chang in Oklahoma, America.<span “font-size:10.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:18.0pt;font-family:times;=”” mso-bidi-font-family:times”=””> Obviously, this is not free so Peter Middleton Of Gold Reserves has pledged his support through his hugely successful ‘Gold Buying’ business that he runs alongside the jewellery store in Swansea.

Peter Middleton says of the fundraising activity:
“Any customer can now come into the Swansea store to sell their unwanted gold on behalf of the Freya Bevan fund. Customers simply need to make it clear that it’s for the Freya Bevan Fund and all the money of that is given for their jewellery will go directly to the fund to raise as much money as possible. It’s the least we can do to help this beautiful little girl get the right treatment and help she needs. Having a young family myself, it’s something I feel very strongly about and want to do as much as I can to help.”

The store also has collection buckets that are filling fast – with Peter Middleton personally match funding the total raised in the buckets for the fund.

“You can make a difference to the Freya Bevan Fund by clearing out your old jewellery, selling it at Gold Reserves, with the money going straight to the fund.”

This week has already seen a surge in customers selling their unwanted gold and silver to help the cause…

If you’d like to donate to the Freya Bevan Fund via Gold Reserves by selling your jewellery then please pop into the Swansea Market store and ask for more details.

She said yes!

At The Diamond Mine, we love seeing happy couples… and this weekend certainly was a happy one for one of our bespoke customers!

Swansea based boyfriend, Ollie Hughes certainly created a weekend to remember as he asked his girlfriend of 2 years, Sarah James to marry him with one of our beautiful diamond rings, that he himself had designed!

Ollie whisked his stunning girlfriend Sarah off to London for the weekend, for her Birthday and gave her something a little more memorable than just a birthday card!

The Diamond Mine helped Ollie to create a bespoke .85 carat platinum set diamond solitaire ring – based on pictures that Sarah had seen and saved as her ‘perfect’ ring!

Ollie said when picking up the ring from The Diamond Mine head offices: “I couldn’t be more pleased with the ring, it’s absolutely stunning and i cant wait for Sarah’s face when she sees it”

Following seeing ‘Phantom Of The Opera’ in London’s West End, Ollie took Sarah to for a walk along the Thames before heading back to the hotel, where he picked his moment to get down on one knee!

The Diamond Mine spent time creating the ring with Ollie, to match exactly what he wanted, and this service is something that is widely available to customers.

A HUGE congratulation to Ollie and Sarah on your engagement, we are so proud and pleased to have helped and created the perfect ring for Rachel.

Secret Santa Delivers!

Best day of the Year today!, the day we get to give out the gifts that were so generously donated to our Secret Santa Appeal.

First stop was Ty Findlay in Swansea’s High Street. This incredible NSPCC facility looks after vulnerable children of all ages and are always extremely pleased to see us with gifts for their deserving kids.

Me and Siany from the Wave with Ty Findlay Staff
Stop 2 was to the Barnados home in Neath. Wow, what a welcome we had here! They had a last minute problem getting Christmas presents for their many children this year so called us on the off-chance after hearing the appeal on air. We were delighted to be able to help these incredible people make their kids Christmas just a little bit more normal.

Then we went to another new recipient with a delivery of some of the food bank appeal and took along some toys too. It was the Spark project in Blaenymaes, where we heard about the incredible work the staff do there to support families in the area with a multitude of complex issues.
All in all a very emotional and worthwhile day! Thanks to all that donated and helped make this our most successful year to date. Off tomorrow to Morriston Hospital to do Phil Hoyles show live from Oakwood Childrens Ward and the burns Unit.
