The smiles say it all on this one - Fab Staff, amazing and brave kids! Again the toys made a massive difference as they were carefully selected for individual children, wrapped and given out on the wards. Just to brighten a child's moment in such a tough time was a priceless experience that we will never forget. Thank you sooo much everyone!!!
The second lot of gifts will be going out to the many destitute families in the area served by the local food banks. Shocking in this day and age that this is so common, even more harsh at Christmas time. If you ever see these guys collecting non-perishable foods outside your local supermarket please do not walk by without giving them a small food donation. Some families have to rely on it! Thanks again to the toy donors - these kids will now have a much more 'normal' Christmas thanks to you. Here we have Pastor Bill and the staff from Myrtle House with myself, Abi and Claire.
All I can say is the staff here do such amazing good - its humbling! Thanks to all that donated as these gifts were desperately needed and will make such a difference. Here we have Claire Scott from The Wave and Myself with Julie and Karen from NSPCC Ty Findlay.
What an exiting day we had at the Wave/Swansea Sound headquaters today. Our special campaign brought in many customers and the grand total of gold bought on the day was £11.5 thousand! This means we raised over £1100 to kickstart this years cash for kids campaign which is a great result!
Many thanks to all the customers that made the effort to come in after hearing our ads on the radio. If you could not get there today don't worry you can visit our stores anytime for great prices for your old gold and silver jewellery.
Also many thanks to the Wave staff and management who literally let us take over the station today and for making us feel so welcome.
